Jar Live’s Bunkface play MTV’s World Stage In Malaysia
BunkFace are undoubtedly one of the best new punk rock bands coming out from Malaysia.
Jar Live had already foreseen their potential when the act was one of the best BreakOut bands who performed at one of our shows in Kuala Lumpar in Malaysia. Over the past 2 years, 5 of our BreakOut bands have been signed with other numerous success stories, demonstrating beyond any doubt or skepticism, the company’s pledge to long term investment and the development of new Artist, be it in the UK or abroad.
Bunkface continued to bear out the confidence we placed in them, when we booked them to perform in the Maldives to an enthralled 8,000-strong audience at Jar Live’s Breakout Festival. Working alongside the band’s management, Jar PR begun the process to “BreakOut” the band to a wider audience. The first step was to secure an Asian tour supporting Tokio Hotel (Winners of The VMA “Best New Artist” and EMA “Best Headliner”), providing the right exposure that culminated in the performance at MTV’s World Stage Live sharing the bill with Katy Perry and The Wonder Girls (Asia’s Spice Girls)
This is a monumentous achievement and one that should not be underestimated.
The MTV World Live stage is broadcasted to over 550 Million people worldwide and artist who have graced this illustrious event include Lady Gaga, Shakira, Kasabian, and Green Day – to mention a few.
This represented a launching pad for phase 2 of Jar’s PR strategy of building their UK media. BunkFace just finished their first UK tour promoting their brand new album “Phobia Phoney”. The UK headline dates included the O2 Academy Liverpool (30th Oct), O2 Academy Islington (31st Oct) and The Cavern Club in Liverpool (29th Oct).
