In partnership with 1M Europe we are offering 2 slots for 2 UK acts to perform at Italy’s biggest festival in the centre of Rome.
Primo Maggio (1M) takes place every year on thebiggest free one-day open-air concert celebrating “Labor Day”. Born in 1990’s, the one day festival takes place in the centre of Rome in front of the breath-taking Cathedral of San Giovanni in Laterano and draws over 150K music revellers. The event is also broadcasted live on RAI TV, Italy’s national broadcaster, beginning at 3pm and non-stop until midnight with viewing figures that have peaked at over 8 million.
Past headliners have included chart-topping Italian and international acts such as Subsonica, Negramaro, Oasis, Sting, Paolo Nutini, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Skunk Anansie – to mention a few.
With limited opportunities for independent acts to perform their music on a festival’s main stage, Jar Music Live and 1M Europe have joined forces to offer 2 UK acts the opportunity to grace Italy’s biggest stage and highest music TV viewership.
One of last year’s UK selected acts, Midlight (formerly Brother) performed in front of an 80K strong live audience and a 4M TV audience. (See video below)
Upon their return to England they were also interviewed on ITV and signed with One More Lab record label and are set to tour the UK and Italy in late 2018.
