Cavern Liverpool
Jar music live is proud to add to its network this iconic venue steeped in musical history. The venue will be used to accommodate additional dates for our touring artists and pre-tour warm up gigs for established international bands.
JML have made the greatest efforts to ensure the venue is a favourite with artists and audiences alike by creating exciting genre specific events to support new underground music, inspired by Liverpool's fantastic vibrant scene. Continuing the historical music legacy of the Cavern and our mission to facilitate unsigned bands with accessibility to industry opportunities that enhance and develop their true potential. This is a great partnership.
History
Throughout 1960, 1961 and 1962 the club became the great spawning ground for the Merseybeat sound that swept the world of music. In 1963 the skiffle era and the extensive local music scene enabled bands to develop their various genres of music but it was the Beatles upon their return from Hamburg in December 1960 who soon became club favourites, following their first performance at the club in February 1961.The front stage of the club is set under the famous arches that have provided the iconic images of the Beatles in the early 1960's. This area is now supplemented with a back room (Touring Venue) and is the largest area of the club. The state of the art sound system guarantees that everyone in the venue can experience fully the first class performance on offer making the room ideal for signed bands on the touring circuit or our regular live nights. The venue is also used regularly for pre-tour warm-ups and private press shows. Some of the bands who have performed at the cavern club include The Artic Monkeys, kasabian and Oasis.
