This Boy Wonders Rise To No1 In The French iTunes Charts

In February 2012 Jar Live organised the album launch for “This Boy Wonder”, combined with a feature on Jar Lives’ website supported by an online PR marketing campaign to increase their  UK and European profile.

In August, during the 2012 London Olympics, This Boy Wonders were invited to appear and perform on France2 TV (French equivalent to BBC2) morning Olympics coverage show. The show was hosted by presenter Louise Ekland and had an audience of up to 7 million people and was broadcasted from a converted double decker bus named the ‘Lollie bus’, which drove around Westminster throughout the entire broadcast.

On the show there was a live performance from different Artist including singer songwriter Katy Melua, plus a collection of other acts. The performances were staged in and around the games coverage and the countries current morning news articles.

TBW, consisted, on this occasion, of only Chris, Lee and Nikk playing 2 acoustic versions of their tracks ‘Domino’ and ‘Side of the Road’, with an interview in between.

After the show the band found their profile rising considerably with the news that their self titled album ‘This Boy Wonders’ had gone to Number 1 in the French iTunes Rock Album Chart. Above chart acts such as Pink Floyd, Blur and Nirvana. It also reached into the Top 40 ‘overall’ iTunes Album Chart.
From their new EP titled ‘Domino’ the title track that they played the acoustic version of, also made it to No 26 in the French iTunes single chart.

The bands social media turned very busy as well, with a huge rise in Facebook followers, YouTube views and an inundation of Tweets from their new French fans.
We are now planning Boy Wonders a small French Tour and are very excited and pleased with what the future holds for them.
